Autumn Wedding | Errol Park

When I first met with Harly-Jane and Liam, they had a clear idea of where they wanted their stationery to go. We discussed options of the styles that would best suit the amount of information they needed to provide their guests and how we could lay this out clearly. With the wedding being in October an Autumnal theme was chosen.

Harly-Jane showed me some beautiful images of floral hairpieces that she had made for her bridal party, I matched the florals she used and added some hints of coral and pine cones.

I designed them an A5 gatefold with a bellyband, on the front we had the florals in a wreath style either side of the gate and just their initials on the bellyband so that their guests did not immediately know who the invitation was from, to create a little suspense. The bellyband was in the coral colours as a contrast to the cream pages.

Within the gatefold, the main section in the middle held the wedding date details, on the left hand side was a poem about gifts and on the right details about accommodation available and RSVP details, which included the wedding website, therefore this design did not require a separate RSVP card. I used hints of the floral details to act as a divide between the sections.

For the evening invitation I used a square postcard, on the front the floral wreath this time to frame the outside edges and their names within, then on the back the wedding day details and the RSVP information.

Harly-Jane and Liam later ordered on the day items to match and compliment their invitations. All of the printed items matched the stationery, there was a table plan, menu cards and bellyband placenames.

On each of the tables were three menu cards, so that guests could make their choices from the delicious options available.

Liam and Harly-Jane were keen to have painted acrylic signage on the day too, we incorporated the coral colour and used a bright white for the text.

On arriving guests were welcomed in with an A2 sign, then shown the order of the day using icons alongside each timing.

The A5 table numbers were held in place with little wooden stands adding to the rustic feel of the day. As you can see from the images, the theme all pulled together beautifully and created a stunning Autumn design and colour palette.

"All of our guests were so impressed with our invitations, that I cannot wait for them to see the on the day stationery that Kirsty is providing for us"
